Superimposition series 2021 - present. We perceive time in a linear way–past, present, future. By rearranged and superimposing the images from From the Watchtower 2020-2021 it is possible to interpret time in a dynamic manner, less tainted by our daily intuitions. The chronology disappears, breaking up the hierarchy of time. If all these individual portraits from the original series each represent the brightest moment of that day, when these are massed together there is no timeline, they all exist together in the same plain and represent all those moments simultaneously, even when these could have taken place more than a year apart. Many of the images in the initial series emerged as faint stripe patterns formed by a vast array of subdued colours, that from a distance look black and white. The subtle tones present in the original scans are summed and multiplied during the process and add up to create richer hues, amassing vibrant colour palettes.
